The Pelican Float, used by Navy EOD, SEAL's, LE Recovery Divers and civilian divers around the world.
I don't think I know how to get in the watere without having a bunch of these stuffed in my BC pockets. Hoo-Yah MCM!
The first item that Pelican made is the standard for MCM Ops. Locate the mine (or side-scan sonar the air crew lost), pull the safety pin dropping the clump and let the buoy shoot to the surface. The guys in the boat can motor up and throw in a half hitch to allow enough scope for tidal changes and you know where to send the next diver down to.
Drop something overboard? Just pull the pin and drop the buoy. Divers swim down the flourescent yellow line giving you great visibility even in the murkiest waters.
Use the Pelican Float as your initial marker to know where to drop the diver's descent line. The diver can spool up the buoy line on descent or send a "4" for the boat crew to pull the line up.
