The Basic Unmanned Aircraft Systems (UAS) Operations class is designed to provide students with fundamental knowledge and practical skills necessary to safely and efficiently operate unmanned aircraft systems in a variety of LEO applications. This comprehensive course aims to equip participants with a solid foundation in UAS technology, regulations, flight planning, and best practices. This course is ½ classroom and ½ practical flight. So there will be a considerable hands-on portion. Students of all skill levels will be introduced to basic flight maneuvers and participate in a flight standards evaluation. Students also walk away with an editable PDF resource to use and implement into their agency.
