NFA Engraving

The maker's identifying markings: the name of the maker — the individual or, for trust builds, the trust name — plus city and state, as shown on your approved Form 1. We match the engraving to your stamp's exact information, because "close" is not a standard ATF recognizes.

Yes — that's the reason to use a licensed manufacturer's fiber laser instead of a trophy shop's. ATF requires markings to a minimum depth of .003 inch with print no smaller than 1/16 inch in height; our fiber systems cut to spec in metal, and we verify before you leave. Markings that are too shallow or too small are the classic Form 1 mistake, and they're permanent in the worst way.

Schedule the visit, bring the item and your approved Form 1 to the Franklin facility, and we proof the layout with you — text, placement, font — before the laser fires. Most jobs are done in the same visit, and your registered item never ships anywhere or leaves your control.

SBR and SBS receivers, suppressor tubes on Form 1 builds, AOWs, and pistol-to-SBR conversions — in metal and coated finishes including anodized and cerakoted surfaces. We'll advise on placement that satisfies the requirement and respects the build's looks; the two aren't in conflict when the engraver knows what they're doing.

Yes — we support FFL/SOT dealers and manufacturers with marking runs, and pair engraving with our other cells: custom foam for the case it goes home in, and CNC machining when the job is more than markings.
