How do I get custom foam made for my tools?
Three ways, straight from the shop floor: bring it (walk your case and tools into Franklin), roll it (trace your tools on paper and send the outline), or ship it in (send the tools or the loaded case and we'll digitize the layout). We design the cavity map, cut it on the CNC router, and your tools go home into foam that fits.
Why does CNC-cut foam matter for tool control?
Because accountability programs live or die on the glance. A cavity-per-tool layout shows an empty spot instantly — before the case closes, before the team leaves the objective, before a tool ends up where tools must never be left. That's why military tool-control and FOD programs specify cut foam over pick-and-pluck: pluck foam degrades, and degraded foam stops telling the truth.
Can you supply the cases too?
Yes — foam alone, or complete case solutions: Pelican cases, custom lid organizers, and laser-engraved exteriors from our engraving cell. We've delivered custom foam and engraved cases for customers up to and including the USS John F. Kennedy.
Can you standardize foam across a whole fleet of kits?
That's the CNC advantage: the cut file is the standard. Kit #1 and kit #40 are identical, replacement inserts match years later, and every team member knows every kit's layout because there's only one layout. We build program-wide kit standards this way under ISO 9001:2015 — it's how our own Build Your Own kits ship.
