The Carbon Rod Pressure Plate is an area specific booby-trap found in the Middle East. It was designed for its low magnetic feature so that metal detectors would bypass it. The pressure plate is constructed of pallet wood.

Carbon rods from batteries are then wrapped in alternator wire for an additional low-mag feature and then attached to the circuitry. Protection from water is then added by wrapping the entire pressure plate in plastic so that it can be buried as well.
The training aid comes with a battery, buzzer, and an inert syringe detonator for extra low-mag capabilities.
