HME Training Kit — EOD Gear (Made in USA)
The EOD Gear HME Training Kit is the standalone homemade explosive sample section from the comprehensive EOD Gear IED Training Kit, available separately for programs that need focused HME recognition training without the full kit.
The kit contains 20 individual inert HME samples in 2 oz. containers — the same samples included in Section 1 of the full IED Training Kit. Each sample is inert and contains no energetic material, making it safe for classroom and field training use. Instructors can use the kit to train students on HME appearance, physical characteristics, and recognition across the most common homemade explosive compounds encountered in IED operations.
Three optional upgrades are available at checkout to expand the kit toward a more complete IED training package — non-functioning device replicas, inert trigger components, and HME precursor containers.
Note: Due to current availability, this kit does not include foam insert packaging.

The HME Training Kit can be upgraded at checkout with three optional add-ons that expand the training value of the kit. The Devices upgrade adds non-functioning IED device replicas. The Triggers upgrade adds inert IED trigger and electronic component samples. The Precursor Containers upgrade adds inert representations of common HME precursor chemicals. Q: Does this kit contain real explosives? No. Every sample in the HME Training Kit is inert and contains no explosive or energetic material. All 20 samples are safe for classroom and field training use.
Q: What is the difference between this kit and the full IED Training Kit? The HME Training Kit contains only the 20 inert HME 2 oz. sample section. The full IED Training Kit includes five complete sections — HME samples, precursor containers, trigger and electronic components, non-functioning device replicas, and military explosive and detonator samples — all carried in a Pelican 1660 case.
