IED Training Kit — EOD Gear
The EOD Gear IED Training Kit is the most comprehensive commercially available inert IED awareness and recognition training kit on the market. Designed for EOD instructors, bomb squad trainers, military counter-IED programs, and law enforcement training cadre, this kit provides everything needed to conduct a complete course of instruction on IED construction, components, triggers, homemade explosives, and military explosive materials — all in inert, safe-to-handle training aids.
The entire kit is organized into five purpose-built sections and carried in a Pelican 1660 case for durable field and classroom transport. Every item in the kit is inert and contains no explosive or energetic material.
Manufactured and assembled by EOD Gear in Franklin, Tennessee under an ISO 9001:2015 Quality Management System. EOD Gear is an ATF FFL Type 10 and FEL Type 20 licensed manufacturer, ITAR registered, SBA-certified SDVOSB, and GSA contract holder.

Section 1 — Inert HME 2 oz. Sample Kit
20 individual 2 oz. containers set in custom foam, carried in a laptop box. HME samples include PETN, TATP, HMTD, Mercury Fulminate, HPOM TANG, HPOM Flour, ANFO, ANAL, Potassium Chlorate Aluminum, Urea Nitrate, Nitrocellulose, Black Powder, MEKP, R-Salt, Nitroglycerine, ETN, ETN Cast, Potassium Chlorate Sugar, Picric Acid, and Poor Man's C4.
Section 2 — Inert HME Precursor Containers
Inert representations of common HME precursor chemicals including Citric Acid, Aluminum Powder, Drain Cleaner, Hydrogen Peroxide, Acetone, Fuel Tablets, Powdered Sugar, Pool Shock, and Ammonium Nitrate Cold Pack.
Section 3 — IED Sample Triggers and Components
18 individual trigger and electronic components used in IED construction, including Digital Timer, Kitchen Timer, LDR Board, Mouse Trap, Clothes Pin, Loop Switch, Pressure Pad, Tilt Switch, SCR, Relay, MOSFET, Micro Switch, Reed Switch, Toggle Switch, Resistor, Diode, LED, and Capacitor.
Section 4 — Sample Non-Functioning Devices
Five complete non-functioning IED replicas including Pressure Cooker with RC Trigger, Flashlight Device, PVC Pipe Bomb, Steel Pipe Bomb, and Cell Phone Limpet.
Section 5 — Military Explosives, Detonators, and Improvised Detonators
10 inert samples including M112 Block, Semtex Block, US Dynamite, Russian Dynamite, Arabic Dynamite, Det Cord, Electric Blasting Cap, Non-Electric Blasting Cap, Improvised 5.56 Detonator, and Improvised 7.62 Detonator.
