Designed and manufactured through EOD Gear’s Custom Off The Shelf™ (COTS) rapid-prototyping program, the Landmine Removal Key attaches to opposite sides of an anti-tank mine, giving the operator positive mechanical control during remote extraction.
Here's How It Works:
Place the knifes edge underneath the landmine.
FLIPPING: Respective to your line of pull, place the Mine Keys in the 6, 10, and 2 o’clock positions. Slipknot will terminate at 12. Mine Keys will likely not stay attached utilizing this method. Recommend backfilling 6 o’clock position to increase amount of flips.
DRAGGING: Dig a “ramp” at 6 o’clock. Place Mine Keys at 12, 5, and 7 o’clock. With the
slipknot terminating at 6.
Field techs asked for a lightweight, inexpensive, universal-fit tool that could take abuse, grip reliably, and work across multiple mine types. We built it.
