EOD Gear Landmine Probe — Handmade in the USA

The EOD Gear Landmine Probe is a purpose-built mine probe for EOD technicians, combat engineers, humanitarian deminers, and military operators who need a reliable, field-proven probing tool without the premium price tag of titanium.

Back in the '90s in Bosnia, improvised probes — aluminum knitting needles with duct tape handles — got the job done. They weren't pretty, but they worked. This probe is what that concept looks like when it's built properly: a dedicated mine probe made from the right materials, at a price point that makes sense for field expendable equipment.

Titanium is great if your budget allows. But why pay a titanium premium for a tool that may be lost, destroyed, or left in the field? The EOD Gear Landmine Probe gives you the geometry, grip, and reliability a real probe requires — without the cost that makes you hesitate to use it.

Handmade at the EOD Gear facility in Franklin, Tennessee. Because probes are made by hand and materials are ordered in batches, we keep stock on hand but larger quantity orders may require a short lead time for additional material. We'll always give you the heads up.

FAQ

Q: What materials is the EOD Gear Landmine Probe made from? The probe rod is G-10 fiberglass — a non-metallic, durable composite material suitable for probing operations. The handle is Delrin, a rigid thermoplastic that provides a solid, comfortable grip.

Q: Why G-10 instead of titanium? Titanium probes are excellent but expensive. The EOD Gear Landmine Probe is designed as a cost-effective field expendable — the right tool at a price point that does not create hesitation about using or losing it in the field. G-10 fiberglass provides the rigidity and non-metallic properties required for safe probing operations.

Q: Is this probe made in the USA? Yes. Every EOD Gear Landmine Probe is handmade at the EOD Gear facility in Franklin, Tennessee, under an ISO 9001:2015 Quality Management System.

Q: Is a sheath available? Not yet, but one is in development and will be Berry Compliant when released.

Q: Can I order in bulk? Yes. We keep stock on hand, but larger quantity orders may require a short lead time while additional material is sourced. Contact us at govsales@EOD-gear.com or call (938) 336-3639 for bulk pricing and availability.

Q: Is this available on GSA? Yes. EOD Gear is a GSA contract holder. Government agencies can purchase via GSA, P-Card, or purchase order.
