VELUX 4 1050/1550

Velux 4 is an extremely rugged, low cost Short Wave Infrared Marker Beacon available in either 1050nm (902560) or 1550nm (902561) configurations.

The Velux 4 Beacon only emits Short Wave Infrared (SWIR) signals making it invisible to Near IR (PVS, ANVIS) Night Vision Equipment and Mid and Long Wavelength Thermal Viewers. The Velux™ 4 can only bee seen with SWIR and InGaAs Cameras making it ideal for ID marking during hi-risk missions where the most covert operation is essential.

Designed to use a CR123 Battery, the Velux™ 4 is 50% smaller and lighter than the Phoenix JR™ Near IR Beacon. When not in use, the CR123 battery can be stored within the unit by installing the battery upside-down. The Velux™ 4 has been equipped with a spring clip for easy attachment to belts, straps, clothing and equipment.
