Aerial — Frequently Asked Questions
Who is Aerial, and what is HazPro?
Aerial (Survival Safety Protection) is the company behind the HazPro and Bread Box brands. HazPro is the market leader in passive, fabric-based fuel tank fire suppression (FTFS) kits for U.S. Army and Marine tactical trucks — over 23,000 trucks equipped with its patented kits since 2007.
What is the Bread Box Blast Mitigation Bag?
A protective transport bag for small explosives and energetics under 1 lb TNT equivalent — pipe bombs, a single small grenade, blasting caps, small charges, and crickets. Its walls carry a benign dry-chemical extinguishing agent and NIJ Level IIIA soft armor, reducing overpressure, fragmentation, and thermal effect if a device functions inside. Full details on the Bread Box product page.
How was Aerial's Bread Box tested?
Under observation by certified explosive specialists (CES) from the U.S. Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms, with tests designed with ATF input against real-world threats, and results corroborated by independent test lab Chesapeake/NTS. Independent sensors at arm's length (3 ft) measured roughly 85% blast-pressure reduction with a typical pipe bomb and 32% at the 1 lb TNT design limit.
Who uses Aerial equipment?
Trained professionals: military EOD and munition demolition specialists, state and local police and fire bomb technicians, SWAT breachers, and federal agency bomb technicians and explosives specialists — the same community EOD Gear equips every day.
How do I buy Aerial products?
By quote through EOD Gear. Use our contact form with your agency, quantity, and timeline — every submission is logged and answered in writing, giving you documented correspondence for your procurement file. GSA schedule GS-07F-148GA, P-Card, and purchase orders are welcome.
Are there limits on what the Bread Box can transport?
Yes — it is designed for small explosives and energetics below 1 lb TNT equivalence only. Larger threats (RPG, IED, EFP) must never be transported in the Bread Box, and there are no guarantees or warranties in survivability. Use with a live target is reserved for trained personnel.
