Shop Tactical Gear in 3D and Augmented Reality

Welcome back to another episode of EOD Gear. We're just coming off SHOT show. It's our first year exhibiting at the show. We were up on the fourth floor of the Venetian. I want to thank everybody for coming out. It was really a lot of fun. Glad everybody got their hands on the gear. So everybody likes to get their hands on the gear before they buy it. That's why we have our facility here. But we have a new way, so strap in and get ready to figure out how this one's going to work?

All right. Hey. So everybody likes to get their hands on the gear. Nobody likes to look at a 2D image anymore to buy something online. It's no fun. So we have people here come in all the time to EOD Gear. Here in Franklin, we have 2000 square feet of showroom and a bar. Another 2000 square feet for shipping, distribution, warehouse and fabrication.

And we'll have some new information on the fabrication part coming up next week. I think everybody's going to like it.

So what we've done is we are starting to implement 3D and augmented reality technology into the catalog. So we are starting with our top 50 products that we think people like.

So now you can go to EOD Gear, and in the upper left hand corner, you'll see 3D. So these are the products that we're rolling out first. So you can actually go to that page. There's a separate image that you can actually put your mouse on, grab it, spin it. Or if you're on your smartphone, you can use your finger, turn around, you can actually zoom in and out on the image.

Then if you'll notice, there's an AR button. And this is the best part. Click on AR

This is what we really like. We use this a lot at shot show last week is when you click on that button, it then drops it right there on the floor or on your desktop. And it's life size, so you can actually set it down and walk around it. So we did a lot with the 3rd Law Breaching Door Ram. That was a lot of fun. We also have rifle plates in there, so we have single curve and multi curve plates. So it's kind of cool to see the difference between a multi curve and a single curve in 3D, but also dropping it on the floor.

So we would take the door Ram and have somebody pull it up on their smartphone, go to it, spin it around, and of course, it's sitting right here on the table as well. But then we would drop it on the floor, and then we would grab the real Door Ram and sit it down on the floor next to the augmented reality version. And so it was pretty much spot on life size. So even though it's not there in your hand, but if you wanted to take a look at it and compare it to other tools that you have, that's the capability that you now have.

So we're starting out with the top 50 products, so just wanted to make sure everybody was aware of that. As we continue to roll out that technology, we'll add another 50, and then we'll probably roll up to the next 50 or 200 items and just keep going from there.

So if you can't make it to one of the trade shows coming up that we're scheduled to attend, or if you can't make it to Franklin, Tennessee to come over to the shop and actually get your hands on the gear, take this technology out for a spin.

Again, it's EOD-gear.com, and you can see in the upper left hand corner where it says 3D

From there, if you guys need a quote on something or if you have any technical questions, by all means contact us.

There's two buttons on every page. It says you can add it to Cart or you can add it to Quote. If you're doing Command buys, use the Add to Quote button and we'll come back with you with some pricing for the command. And of course, we're on GSA if that helps you out as well. So I just want to thank everybody again for coming to visit us at Shot Show.

We're very excited about the new technology for 3D and augmented reality for tactical gear. Finally, the future is here.

So we'll be back next week to discuss the latest addition to what we're doing here at EOD Gear. And maybe we'll give something away, maybe we'll do that. We'll figure it out. So make sure you stay in touch. Hey, everybody, be safe. Enjoy it. Thank you so much for all you do, and we look forward to working with you soon.
