HMA Demolition Kit

The team-level demolition and initiation set for Humanitarian Mine Action — blasting machines, circuit test equipment, firing wire, demolition hand tools, and personal remote-pull kits, packed in a wheeled hard case and kitted under ISO 9001:2015 by a US manufacturer supporting HMA programs since 2014.

Every item a clearance team locates has to be disposed of, and IMAS 09.30 puts that responsibility on a demolition capability the program can prove. The HMA Demolition Kit is the reusable hardware around that task: the initiation, testing, firing-line, and remote-handling equipment a team needs to prepare a charge, verify the circuit, clear the danger area, and fire from the control point — without the energetics, which are procured separately through your licensed in-country chain.

It is the disposal module that closes the loop on the Team Equipment Kit L1: detection finds the item, this kit destroys it. The cap crimpers and fuse cutters are machined in-house; the personal hook and line kits are built Berry-compliant for DoD-funded programs.

Built for HMA Programs

Assembled in Franklin, Tennessee under ISO 9001:2015 custom kitting — consistent contents on every order, documentation for donor and program audits, and configurations adjustable to your program's SOPs, shock tube or electric initiation preference, and equipment substitutions. Built by a defense manufacturer holding ATF FEL Type 20 explosives manufacturing licensing, so the demolition accessories are designed by people who fire charges, not just sell them. The crimpers and cutters are machined in-house; the Berry-compliant sewn goods carry documented US sourcing. Part of the complete HMA Kits line alongside demolition equipment and cap crimpers.

HMA Demolition Kit: Frequently Asked Questions

Does the kit include detonators or explosives?

No — by design. Energetics are Class 1 regulated items procured through your program's licensed in-country supply chain and national mine action authority. This kit is the reusable hardware around the demolition task: initiation equipment, circuit testing, firing line, hand tools, and remote handling, configured to accept whatever approved initiation system your program runs.

Electric or shock tube initiation — which does it support?

The standard configuration is built around electric initiation — blasting machines, ohmmeters, and firing wire — and can be reconfigured to your program's shock tube preference or a mixed capability. Tell us your approved initiation method and the kit ships matched to it.

How does this kit pair with the Team Equipment Kit L1?

They're the two halves of the clearance loop: the Team Equipment Kit L1 carries detection, site equipment, and dearmers to find and access items; the Demolition Kit carries the initiation and firing capability to dispose of them. Programs typically field them together, one set per clearance team.

Can contents be adjusted to our SOPs and team size?

Yes — that's the point of ISO 9001:2015 custom kitting. Quantities scale to team count, tools substitute to your equipment list, and the configuration is documented so every kit and every resupply matches your program standard with the traceability donor audits expect.

Can international mine action programs purchase this kit?

Yes. EOD Gear supplies humanitarian organizations, national mine action authorities, and government-funded programs worldwide. As an ITAR-registered US manufacturer, export-controlled items are handled in accordance with US export regulations — contact us with your program and destination country and we'll route the requirement compliantly, in writing.
