The initial 8 Hour HAZWOPER Supervisor is not a replacement for the standard 8 Hour Refresher but the 8 Hour HAZWOPER Supervisor Refresher does exceed the requirements of the standard 8 Hour Refresher!
What this means is that you're not taking 2 Refreshers per year. So if you have to take one, why not be the Supervisor?
