Running Both Platforms
The T7 and T4 share a haptic controller and a substantial parts inventory. Agencies running both train operators once, stock one spares shelf, and move technicians between platforms without requalification. For a squad replacing an aging mixed fleet, that commonality is usually a larger lifecycle saving than the difference in acquisition cost — a large platform as primary, a medium one for the approaches it cannot make.
