The T.REX ARMS AC1.5 is an overt plate carrier built for personnel who wear armor over a uniform or load-bearing kit — EOD technicians, public safety bomb squads, SWAT and tactical teams, and federal agency elements. It is the refined version of the original AC1, with a reworked cummerbund, angled shoulder straps, and a hardware-free placard interface. EOD Gear supplies the AC1.5 for agency, unit, and department procurement.
Why the AC1.5
- MOLLE Row Placard Interface. A row of 3/4" webbing above the front loop field accepts a placard with no hardware.
- Dedicated wing flap. Keeps the cummerbund hook-and-loop interface clear when running a radio or other wing-style attachment.
- Reworked cummerbund. 5" elastic with three cells of varying size, one inverted for access, plus internal body-side pull tabs. Front and middle pockets take pistol magazines and 5.56 PMAGs.
- Angled shoulder straps with 1/4" padding.
- Fully reversible, with front and rear ID panels.
- Standard 6" shoulder spacing — Swift Clip, QASM, and G-Hook compatible.

What ships with the carrier
One AC1.5 carrier, front and rear plate bags, shoulder pads, cummerbund, 6x pull tabs, and 2x QASM buckles. Armor plates are not included.

All sewn goods manufactured by T.REX ARMS are Berry Compliant, which covers the AC1.5 carrier. Armor plates and plate sets are sourced from separate manufacturers and are not covered by that statement. Is the T.REX AC1.5 Berry Compliant?
Yes. The AC1.5 is sewn goods, and all sewn goods manufactured by T.REX ARMS are Berry Compliant. Plates purchased separately are not covered.
What size AC1.5 do I need?
Size to your plate first, not your chest. A Large carrier fits a Large plate; the torso ranges above overlap considerably.
Does the AC1.5 come with armor plates?
No. The carrier ships with plate bags only. EOD Gear can quote plates alongside carriers.
Can I run a placard on it?
Yes. The MOLLE Row Placard Interface accepts a placard without hardware, and the front loop field supports hook-backed accessories.
Is it available on a government purchase order?
