Is the ATF Improvised Mortar Fuze a live device?
No. This is an inert training aid. It contains no energetic material and cannot function as a fuze. It replicates the appearance of an improvised mortar fuze so trainees learn to recognize and respond to what they may encounter in the field, safely and repeatably.
