The T.REX ARMS EMU Rifle Mag Pouch is a single rifle magazine carrier built for EOD technicians, bomb squad operators, SWAT teams, and federal tactical units who need a low-profile pouch that holds a magazine securely without a flap, bungee, or retention strap. The EMU (Enhanced Magazine Unit) uses a Kydex insert inside a Berry-compliant nylon shell: the Kydex provides passive friction retention tuned to the magazine body, while the nylon shell protects the magazine and the host platform from abrasion. The result is a pouch a tech can index and draw from one-handed while wearing gloves, and that will not rattle or shift during a long approach.
The pouch accepts almost any STANAG 5.56mm magazine, metal or polymer, and mounts to a plate carrier, chest rig, belt, or placard. It is offered with three attachment systems so the same pouch can move between a duty belt and a carrier without buying a second unit.

It accepts almost any STANAG 5.56mm magazine, metal or polymer, including USGI aluminum, PMAG, and similar patterns. Retention is friction-based and set by the Kydex insert, so magazine body profile matters more than manufacturer.
How does retention work without a flap or bungee?
The Kydex insert grips the magazine body by friction. There is nothing to unsnap, unhook, or re-seat, so the magazine can be drawn and reseated one-handed and with gloves on. Shock cord loops are available if a mission profile calls for secondary retention.
What does it mount to?
Anything with a MOLLE/PALS field three rows tall and two columns wide, using VELCRO ONE-WRAP or MALICE Clips. The Blade-Tech Tek-Lok option mounts the pouch to a belt up to 2 inches wide. The Kydex Direct Mount Insert also carries the Ragnarok bolt pattern for direct hardware mounting at 0, 15, 30, or 45 degrees.
